Am I the only person who blogged on EotE because it felt like a Bourne-esque political thriller? At least that's how the first episode felt like...

Interesting. Now I'm really curious as to what Kawamori's involvement is, too.

I'm not entirely sure how much involvement Kawamori had with Basquash's mecha. I first assumed he designed them but the website credits (co-creator) Thomas Romain for "mecha concept design/art director". I'm hoping for an interview that will more fully explains exactly how the collaboration between Kawamori and Romain went down.

@OGT
LOL this is true. But I know zero about Mah Jong, only that it seems infinitely more complex than poker.

@soulstrider
You know, that scene made me think of George Costanza on Seinfeld. "there was shrinkage!"

@ghostlightning
I think it's pretty easy to not think of Basquash! As a sports anime but rather a mecha one. Dan is pretty hot-blooded, and his rival looks like it's gonna be a blue haired Yuuichi Nakamura character, so there's a lot of Bigfoot action to look forward to!

@Omisyth
I'm not being negative. I don't consider any of this inevitable, just preparing for the worst. Plus, Soul Eater's ending made me feel kinda crotchety -- I think you know what I mean.

Hope that Eden doesn't go the way of Library Wars, but I doubt that that hope shall be fulfilled. Also, what's with all the negativity, not everything has a 100% chance of having something go wrong. Although if all yuor predicitions are right, we shall have to hail you as an anime prophet.

Man Slam Dunk is my favorite sports anime. I actually am a bigger basketball geek than I am a tennis fan. I really just have zero basketball skills.

I'm still on the fence with Basquash, because I'm too big a ballgeek to let SpaceJam-esque hijinks entertain me.

Silly otou-san, that's solitare Mahjong, which makes way more sense to me than the four-player game. As someone who can barely keep poker hands and ranks in my head, mahjong is beyond me.
